Uncombed hair! Weird music! A girl smoking a pipe!
Phyllis Schlafly is appalled at the state of affairs represented in Juno:
America is in bad shape if the financial success of this movie reflects today's high school culture: sexual activity without marriage, crude pictures on the walls, vulgar language, a girl smoking a pipe, unattractive clothes, uncombed hair, enjoyment of slasher movies and weird music, and marriage breakup. It's like Sheriff Bell says in No Country For Old Men: "It starts when you begin to overlook uncombed hair. Anytime you quit seein' the comb an' brush, the end is pretty much in sight."
